What color line does LUMI Princeton carry?

At LUMI Princeton, we take pride in using only the highest-quality professional color lines to deliver exceptional, long-lasting results.

Our permanent color line, L’Oréal Majirel, offers rich, pigmented hues that provide beautiful depth, vibrancy, and superior gray coverage. For our demi-permanent color line, we trust Redken Shades EQ, a stylist favorite known for its incredible versatility and customization. Shades EQ allows us to create the perfect tone for every blonde, brunette, or redhead — delivering radiant shine, softness, and dimension with every gloss.

We are also thrilled to soon introduce L’Oréal iNOA, our ammonia-free color option. This line combines innovative technology with rich pigment, offering full coverage and luxurious results with a gentler, low-odor formula.

 

For lightening services, we rely on Oligo Blacklight and L’Oréal Blond Studio, both trusted for achieving the healthiest, most consistent lift possible — all while maintaining the integrity and strength of your hair.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bringing inspiration photos is one of the best ways to help your stylist understand your vision and desired outcome. We encourage you to share images of looks you love, as well as styles or tones you prefer to avoid — this helps ensure that you and your stylist are perfectly aligned.

Please also come prepared to discuss your hair history, including previous color services, formulas or tones you’ve tried in the past, any challenges you’ve experienced, and current medications or treatments that may affect your hair. Every detail helps us customize your service for the healthiest and most beautiful results possible.

What do I do if I am running late for my appointment?

At LUMI Princeton, we completely understand that life happens — delays, traffic, and unexpected situations are sometimes out of our control. All we ask is that you communicate with us if you’re running behind. You can easily send us a message through our online booking platform, MangoMint, or give the salon a call to update us with your estimated arrival time.

While we’ll always do our best to accommodate minor delays, our stylists work on carefully planned schedules to ensure every guest receives the full time and attention their service deserves. If we’re unable to adjust the schedule due to other appointments, we may kindly ask that you reschedule for another day or time.

​

If you are running 15 minutes late and we haven’t heard from you, a member of our team will reach out to confirm whether we can still proceed with your appointment. To help us stay on time and provide the best experience for all our guests, we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early. Your cooperation helps us honor everyone’s time — including yours — and allows our stylists to deliver their very best work with care and attention.

Does LUMI Princeton have designated parking?

The short answer, we wish! — but unfortunately, we don’t have designated parking for the salon. Our team and guests rely on nearby parking garages and meters throughout town.

The Spring Street Parking Garage is just a short walk down S. Tulane Street, and there are also metered spots conveniently located all around the area. Meters accept coins, credit cards, and we highly recommend downloading the ParkPrinceton app to make payment easy and help avoid tickets.

 

Because parking in Princeton can be unpredictable, we suggest arriving a few minutes early to allow time to find a spot and ensure you arrive relaxed and ready for your appointment.

What is your booking and cancellation policy?

To secure your appointment, a credit card is required at the time of booking. A 50% deposit of the total service cost will be charged immediately, with the remaining balance due upon completion of your service.

We understand that life happens — plans change, and unexpected events arise. However, because our stylists reserve dedicated time for each guest and do not double-book, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for any appointment changes or cancellations.

​

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the appointment will receive a refund or deposit transfer to a future appointment.

  • Cancellations made within 24–48 hours will be charged 25% of the total service cost.

  • Same-day cancellations are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

  • No-call / no-show appointments will be charged 50% of the service fee, and repeat occurrences will result in a 100% charge.

Our stylists’ time is valuable, and last-minute cancellations leave us unable to accommodate other guests who may be waiting for an appointment. We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation — it allows us to continue providing a smooth, personalized experience for every guest.

How do I book an appointment?

There are a few easy ways to reserve your appointment with one of our talented team members. You can call the salon directly at 640-261-1001, book online through our MangoMint booking platform, or simply stop by the salon — we’re always happy to help you in person and find a time that works best for you.

To secure your reservation, a credit card is required on file, and a 50% deposit of the service total will be charged at the time of booking.

Do your stylists accept gratuity?

Absolutely! If you’re happy with your service and wish to leave your stylist a gratuity, we offer several convenient options to make the process simple and seamless. Gratuity can be given in cash, via Venmo or other electronic payment methods, or through Tippy — our secure digital tipping platform.

​

Tippy allows you to leave a gratuity using your credit card privately and directly. If you’d like to use Tippy, team will be happy to walk you through the quick and easy process.

 

While gratuity is never expected, it is always deeply appreciated by our team. Your generosity means the world to us and helps recognize the care and artistry our stylists put into every service.
